Imagine a single, large piece of felt that has been meticulously folded across its field, creating a tessellated surface where raised ridges alternate with flat planes. The light catches the texture differently on each angled facet, emphasizing the geometric structure. This handwoven floor covering is primarily an understated neutral grey, a quiet backdrop that explores texture and shadow in a monochrome field. However, one sharp, deliberate fold near the edge introduces a single, bold color event, a clear cobalt blue that breaks the silence. This cobalt line runs parallel to the main grid, offering a modern Japanese restraint where minimalism is punctuated rather than loud. The high knot density and short pile height enhance the crisp definition of the folded geometry, ensuring the permanent pleating effect remains a defining characteristic. This composition is defined by its form, not applied pattern.
