Weaver & Loom's founder, Ali Ghassemi, is a 3rd-generation rug maker with a rich family history. As a teenager, Ali worked with his family and travelled overseas to learn about the rug production industry.
Weaver & Loom began in Toronto in 2010; Weaver & Loom Inc., the digital business, was established in 2021. Ali and co-founder Samten Dorje set out to disrupt the rug industry.
By combining innovation with business acumen, they developed a digital platform that streamlines the manufacturing process and modernizes bespoke rug design.
