Imagine the calm where two unbleached wools meet, one slightly warmer, one cooler, defining an emptiness that feels vast and quiet. This hand-knotted composition is structured on that very principle, with subtle shifts in natural, undyed yarn creating the illusion of a soft, imprecise boundary line across a field of mottled beige and ecru.
The variations in tone are inherent to the unbleached fibers themselves, not a dyeshop creation. In hand-knotting this design, we deliberately chose a textured, low pile height and a slightly irregular knot density to mimic the unadorned beauty found in recycled paper or raw, slubby cotton. The resulting texture is grounding underfoot, a restrained greige and soft chalk palette that avoids noise, offering a quiet order and an open emptiness that leaves ample room for the eye to rest and a room to breathe.
