Decant Fallow from the Tincture Collection by Weaver & Loom

Like the sediment settled at the bottom of an aged decanter, this handwoven piece is grounded in a deep, shadowed hue, a rich espresso-brown that feels dense and rooted. Upon this dark foundation, a precise geometry unfolds: a repeating motif of stepped, rectangular forms rendered in a contrasting, dry-ochre. This secondary tone is less of a color and more of a patina, a sun-bleached earth, suggesting the surface of baked clay or the dry grasses of a dormant field.

The texture is a deliberate study, the dark ground absorbing light while the ochre forms have a subtle, warm sheen. This creates a composition of defined shapes within a deeply quiet, saturated field, less about pattern and more about the presence of material. The overall effect is a piece of quiet strength, grounded and deliberate, with an inherent sense of age and authenticity.
