Accordion from the Plisse Collection by Weaver & Loom

A single continuous ridge defines the central field, capturing and breaking light as it marches across the wool surface. This handwoven plane functions as an exploration of permanent pleating, where the logic of accordion folds creates a dynamic geometry of light and shadow, much like folded technical fabric.

The calm charcoal ground waits for the one bold event, a crisp cadmium yellow crease that slices through the pattern at a precise angle, adding unexpected contrast and energy. Every step alters the play of light across the structural ridges, making the monochrome surface an ever shifting study in texture and form. Designed with minimalist restraint and a deep focus on architectural simplicity, this piece brings the serene order of Japanese origami into a quiet, functional textile for the floor.
