Imagine the stillness of a vast, salt-encrusted playa at dawn, before the first warmth fractures the light. This rug captures that silent, pale expanse in a field of cooler earthen neutral. Within the broad, open composition, subtle shifts in tone emerge through the hand-carded fibers, a soft grey drifting towards mineral white like a shadow retreating from a morning sun. The surface is textured but low, inviting quiet steps and a sense of calm contemplation. It is a piece that demands a stillness around it, grounding a room with an elemental presence, much like the first view of a distant plateau. Light moves across its matte finish, revealing depth and variation not immediately apparent, as if observing the slight changes in a landscape over hours.
