The Patina collection is an homage to the honest, tactile warmth of American heritage. It translates the deep, resonant character of vintage leather craft into abstract textile form. This is a collection about surfaces that tell the story of time. We sought to capture the soft mottling of a glovetanned hide, the confident structural rhythm of varsity bands, and the relaxed familiarity of frontier prairie weaving. The result is a series of grounded, material-first designs that bring quiet depth into a space. Our palette relies entirely on warm, lived-in neutrals. Sun-bleached British tan, deep burnished cognac, rich walnut, and soft oat layer together to create dimensional patina fields. We intentionally avoid bright or synthetic colors, grounding the collection in earthy authenticity. A subtle drift of leather grain is suggested through flowing, organic linework, while the even cadence of a hand-stitched seam is abstracted into rhythmic borders. A quiet glint of aged brass thread emerges sparingly through the careful placement of silk, catching the light like an antique surface aged gracefully through years of use. Every piece is a testament to unhurried, masterful craft. These rugs are entirely hand-knotted in Nepal, woven with a dense structure of between 100 and 180 knots per square inch. This meticulous technique transforms premium New Zealand wool and luminous natural silk into a dense, matte pile that feels structural and warm under the hand. Subtle pile height variations give each piece a lived-in tonal depth that is felt just as much as it is seen. Creating this level of quality requires patience, and the 16 to 20 week make time is a deliberate investment in enduring artistry. The Patina collection is designed to age beautifully, offering timeless character that lives beyond fleeting trends.
